NorthBay Health is committed to providing financial assistance to patients who have no health insurance to pay for medically necessary care or have insurance with high medical costs or out-of-pocket expenses not reimbursement by insurance or a health coverage program.
If you are facing financial hardship, we encourage you to apply for Medi-Cal or explore other government program that may be of assistance. If you do not qualify for those programs, or if you have substantial financial liabilities despite having insurance, you may qualify for our financial assistance program. ¿Necesitas español? Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is determined based on review of a complete application and supporting documents, including proof of income. Generally, patients with family income at or below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level will be eligible for charity (free) care or discounted (reduced) care.
If you receive financial assistance under our policy, you will not be charged more for emergency or other medically necessary care than the amount generally billed (AGB) to patients having Medicare coverage.
To view U.S. federal poverty guidelines used to determine financial eligibility for certain federal programs, visit the HHS poverty guidelines website.
