If you’re in the market for the COVID-19 vaccine or qualify for the booster, here’s good news: You’ve got lots of choices.

“Choice is a great thing,” said NorthBay Health Chief Medical Officer Seth Kaufman, M.D. “Everyone’s comfort zone is different. Do you want it sooner? Later? At the pharmacy? In your physician’s office? At a grocery store/pharmacy where you can be vaccinated and pick up some sushi? All great options!”

The most important factor, stressed Dr. Kaufman, is that you get vaccinated, not where you get vaccinated.

“We strongly encourage everyone in the community who qualifies to schedule an appointment that’s a good fit for their lifestyle,” said Dr. Kaufman.

For example, Solano County Public Health is hosting mass vaccination clinics most Wednesdays through Saturdays from now through mid-December (with a break Nov. 3-6 and Thanksgiving week). NorthBay is proud to be one of many healthcare organizations that is supporting this effort. To make an appointment, eligible residents can sign up online. Those requiring registration assistance, call (800) 672-0150. The clinics operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Access to all other clinics can be found by signing up on MyTurn.Ca.Gov.

Once you input your information, the site will show you open slots at clinics in your area. That includes NorthBay VacaValley Hospital, which is offering vaccines and boosters during its Coumadin Clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

NorthBay primary care patients age 65 and up can make an appointment to receive the vaccine through their primary care office by calling (707) 646-5500.

“Vaccinations remain our best strategy to prevent COVID,” said Dr. Kaufman. “I steadfastly believe a combination of booster injections and common-sense prevention measures will get us through this pandemic and allow us to move on. Please stay safe.”

Looking to schedule your COVID-19 vaccine? You can schedule an appointment on MyTurn. Those requiring assitances to sign up for the Solano County Fairgrounds can call (800) 672-0150. NorthBay patients seeking a vaccine at their center for primary care can call (707) 646-5500 to schedule an appointment.
