NorthBay Health is now taking appointments for patients to receive their flu vaccines at all of its primary care locations.
NorthBay patients can get their flu shot during their regular appointment with a primary care physician, but there are also dedicated flu clinics dates at all four NorthBay Health Primary Care locations. Patients who want to come in during the clinics must still call to reserve an appointment in advance. There will be no drive up or weekend clinics this year.
The appointment-based clinics will be held:
- In American Canyon, every other Monday, from 8:30 to 11:50 a.m. at 416 Napa Junction.
- In Vacaville, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 421 Nut Tree Road.
- In Fairfield, on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2458 Hilborn Road.
- In Green Valley, on Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4520 Business Center Drive.
For the 2023-2024 flu season, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends use of any licensed, age-appropriate flu vaccine as an option for vaccination for most people.
At this time FLUMIST is not available through NortBay however all of the vaccines NorthBay provides are approved by the CDC for all patients – even those with egg allergies.
Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every season with rare exceptions, according to the CDC. Vaccination is particularly important for people who are at higher risk of serious complications from influenza.
Visit our flu page for more about why you should vaccinate and to read answers to frequently asked questions.
