Professional Profile

I've always been interested in science and helping people. A career in medicine lets me do both. Today, I proudly work as a gastroenterologist. This specialty is close to my heart. While I was in medical school, my father was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. His illness inspired me to focus on this area of medicine.

I treat many digestive system problems. I do both general care and special procedures to help find and treat diseases, including some cancers. Some of the specific names of conditions include, but are not limited to, heartburn, esophageal diseases, gastrointestinal bleeding, pancreaticobiliary disease, Barrett’s esophagus, pancreatic cancer, pancreatic pseudocyst, esophageal strictures, variceal bleeding, bile duct cancer, fistulas, gastric polyps, colon polyps, large complex colon polyps, sub-epithelial nodules, esophageal cancer, irritable bowel syndrome, dysphagia, hemorrhoids, and celiac disease to name a few.

To me, great care starts with one simple idea: truly care about the patient. I work hard to build trust with the people I treat. I take time to listen and give them my full attention. I want each person to feel heard and cared for in a way that fits their unique needs.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, watching action or comedy movies, barbequing, going to the beach, and eating at nice restaurants.
