Cardiologist Profile

Science and biology were my favorite subjects growing up in the Bay Area, and I’m not ashamed to admit I was a science nerd back then because it led to a meaningful career. I always wanted a career that combined my love of science with my desire to give to others. As an interventional/structural cardiologist, I’m proud to say I’ve accomplished both objectives. I diagnose and treat a multitude of cardiovascular diseases while also performing minimally invasive interventional procedures of the heart.

I love that my field combines the cerebral nature of being a cardiologist with the hands-on nature of performing interventions. My field also allows me to be at the forefront of medical technology and advancement, fulfilling my desire to be a lifelong learner. I push myself every day to improve for the sake of my patients. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing how my hard work and training can help a patient in my care.

If I had to describe myself as a doctor, I’d say I’m capable, compassionate, and down to earth. I take time to answer every question so I can ensure my patients feel comfortable and understand their treatment plans. Every patient I see will receive a thorough review of their relevant medical history, as well as a comprehensive analysis of what brings them to my office. I believe in clear and concise communication. I’m also a strong believer in shared decision making. My role as a cardiologist is to utilize my knowledge and clinical expertise to present my humble recommendations. Yet any decision to move forward with those recommendations must also be in conjunction with the patient’s input and desire. We make decisions together.

I treat every patient as if they were a member of my own family.

My treatment encompasses a wide variety of conditions, from coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure to vascular heart disease and heart arrhythmias. And while I often treat patients with advanced disease, my philosophy is that prevention is always the main objective. My goal is to avoid interventions whenever possible.

In my spare time, you can routinely find me enjoying the outdoors. I love working out, running, and hiking. Travel is another passion of mine. I’ve visited well over twenty-five countries by now, and I’m always on the lookout for future travel recommendations.
