Corinne Prieto, PA
Advanced Health Practitioner, NeurologyMy mom inspired me from an early age to pursue medicine, having been a nurse for more than 30 years. But if you ask her, she’d say it was a path I was destined to follow. The telltale sign may have been my future career choice in preschool as “Doctor-Ballerina”. While I am neither of those, helping people has always been a key source of joy in my life and the only job requirement that made sense to me.
You could say being a physician assistant is the closest profession to my initial 5-year-old dreams. As a physician assistant, I have the opportunity to provide compassionate care to my patients and also help coordinate various steps in their medical management. Collaboration is at the heart of every visit. I work with my patients and the incredible staff of nurses, hospitalists, surgeons, and case managers involved to provide optimal care. My role is to also help promote stability and continuity for the patient in each step of their health care journey.
The most rewarding part of my job is getting to know my patients and being able to help them every step of the way, whether it be in the clinic, at the hospital or even remotely. I also love the lifelong pursuit and dedication to learn. As a provider, I view it as an opportunity to learn from my team, stay informed of new treatment modalities and up to date with clinical research. Most importantly, I’m able to provide the most current information to my patients regarding their care.
As part of the Neurosurgery team at NorthBay, I address both acute and chronic issues related to the central nervous system (our brain and spinal cord). With each visit, I listen closely and lead with compassion. It is crucial to empower my patients by giving them the tools they need to make an informed decision regarding their health. Medicine is more than a malady and we here at NorthBay strive to find the solution best suited for each individual.
In my free time, I enjoy yoga, hikes and game nights with friends and family. As a Midwestern native, I make the most of the warm California weather and can often be found outdoors on a bike or under a tree with a book.

While we strive to keep this list up to date, it's always a good idea to check with your health plan to determine the specific details of your coverage, and to contact the provider's office to verify acceptance of your particular plan.
