Loved Ones Pay Tribute to Those They’ve Lost

tree of memories

More than 150 guests of all ages gathered Saturday, Dec. 6, at Green Valley Administration Center to pay tribute to loved ones they've lost through the years, in a special Tree of Memories ceremony coordinated by NorthBay Health's Breavement Volunteer Coordinator Linda Pribble, Dr. Terry Van Aken and a team of volunteers.

For many families, it is an annual tradition of remembrance.

Guests wrote the names of their loved ones on special butterfly ornaments that were used to adorn the tree. Lovely turquoise keepsake ornaments were also available for a donation to the Hospice program.

Part of the ceremony included a slideshow featuring photographs of loved ones, set to live music provided by the Napa Valley Threshold Choir.

Special music was provided by Z. and Linc D'Amario, including "I Believe I Can Fly," and an "American the Beautiful" tribute to our servicemen and women.

"We want to remember that tomorrow is the anniversary of Pearl Harblor and pay tribute to those who protect our country," said Linda, introducing special guest Master Sgt. John Mueller, U.S. Air Force Reserve, who honored the sacrifices made by our military servicemen and women. In addition, the names of all loved ones were read out loud.
