The 32nd annual Solano Wine & Food Jubilee is slightly more than seven weeks away, and that means Jubilee Committee members have kicked into high gear, finalizing details to assure the event is the best ever.

The event is set for Saturday, May 18 at the Harbison Event Center at the Nut Tree, beginning at 6:30 p.m. for general admission. Entertainment for the sipping and tasting portion of the event includes a DJ in one area of the venue, as well as the Charlie Wade Blues Band performing on the front porch of the Harbison House.

The Time Bandits will take the stage in the Nut Tree Pavilion around 9 p.m.

More than 120 vendors — wineries, breweries and restaurants — are expected to plate and pour their finest. Some restaurants – Napa Deli, El Caracol and Peace, Love and Boba – are joining the Jubilee for the first time, while many other popular ones return as they have, year after year.

Wine and brew committee members report another year of strong support, with more than 30 of each expected to pour that night.

Organizers also plan to set aside even more space for the Silent Auction, a popular attraction at the Jubilee, to give shoppers plenty of room to browse.

Ticket sales for the Jubilee Raffle — with its $15,000 Dream Vacation as the top prize — are moving very well, according to Craig Bryan, Jubilee committee chair. No more than 2,500 raffle tickets will be sold, which means the odds of winning something are about one in 100.

The winning ticket will be pulled shortly after 9 p.m., and the grand prize winner can select either the dream vacation or $15,000 in cash, through arrangements made by Jim Kellogg of Wasserman Travel, husband of Wendy Wasserman Kellogg, in whose honor the prize has been offered.

The raffle also offers a tribute prize — a tour of Pixar Animation Studios — to honor Foundation board member Adam Burke. A host of cash prizes — 12 winners of $125, 10 winners of $500, one winner of $1,000 and one $2,500 winner — will also be announced that night.

Raffle tickets are $35 each or three for $100, and can be purchased by calling (707) 646-3133, purchased with a credit card by fax at (707) 646-3135, or in person at the NorthBay Health Foundation office at 4500 Business Center Drive in Fairfield; at Jackson Medical Supply, 506 Main Street in Vacaville; or at Wasserman Travel, 366 Merchant St. in Vacaville.

Jubilee tickets are $100 each, plus a small fee, for those 21 and older. They will be $125 on the night of the event, if still available. To purchase tickets, go to www.NorthBayC2C.org.
