Cornhole for the NorthBay Cancer Center this Saturday

This Saturday, the Vacaville Firefighters Association will hold its first-ever “Movember Cornhole Tournament,” planned to raise awareness about men’s health issues and raise money for the NorthBay Cancer Center.

The event will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Pietro’s No. 2, 679 Merchant St., in Vacaville.

The entry fee is $100 per two-person team and only 20 teams will be able to compete. Participants will receive two T-shirts and two etched pint glasses.

The winning team will receive a custom-made cornhole set.

During November – or “Movember” as it has been called, members of the Vacaville firefighters Association have participated in “No Shave November,” a challenge to grow a mustache to promote awareness of men’s health issues. A barber will be on hand Saturday to shave off the Movember mustaches.

To sign up or order a Movember T-shirt or pint glasses, visit www.iaff3501.org/shop. Don’t want to play? That’s OK, come and cheer on your favorite team.
