Eat, Drink, Meet, Greet at Jubilee

Ever tasted a boba tea? Tikka masala? Crave barbeque and tacos? How about an icy cold IPA beer or fine red wine? All the flavors — familiar or new — await at the 32nd annual Solano Wine & Food Jubilee.

If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet, don’t linger. It is Solano County’s biggest fundraiser and perennially sold out affair.

Nearly 40 of the area’s best and most sought-after restaurants and caterers will be represented at this year’s Jubilee. Ticketholders can expect to see such old favorites as BackDoor Bistro, Roline’s Uniquely Filipino and Clay Oven serving favorite dishes. Some new names include Rotzy’s Mad Batter and El Caracol.

Others serving at the May 18 event include Murillo’s and Honey B’s Bakery. To see a full list, go to www.wineandfoodjubilee.org.

The restaurants and caterers join a collection of more than 30 beer labels and craft breweries that also plan on pouring, as well as more than 30 wineries. They include Wooden Valley Winery, Tenbrink Winery, Mangels, Vino Godfather, Saddleback Cellars, Vezer Family Vineyard, Tolenas Vineyards and Winery, Layne Family of Wines, VITUS, Backroad Vines, Sunset Cellars, Rombauer, Trinitas and Charles Krug, to name a few.

This year’s event also features a more roomy Silent Auction area, entertainment by the Charlie Wade Blues Band and dancing to the Time Bandits.

This year’s Presenting Sponsors are Al and Patt Shaw, Dr. Lee and Valerie Freeman, Heidi Y. Campini, Dennis and Alex Landis, Western Health Advantage, DPR Construction, Before the Movie and Paradise Valley Estates.

The 32nd Jubilee, a fund raising event for NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement, is set to get underway at 6:30 on Saturday, May 18 at the Harbison Event Center at the Nut Tree in Vacaville.

Tickets are now $100 (plus a small fee) for those over age 21 or $125 on the day of the event, if still available. They can be purchased in advance by going to www.wineandfoodjubilee.org.
