Fundraisers Honor Former Board Member
It was a big night for the NorthBay Cancer Center when Soroptimist International of Vacaville chose to make it their 2019 “Fund-a-Need,” in honor of a member who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2018.
Wendy Wasserman-Kellogg was not only a longtime Soroptimist and a NorthBay Cancer Center patient but she was also a board member for NorthBay Health Foundation.
As a result, NorthBay turned out full-force to support the event, and oncologist/hematologist James Long, M.D., took to the stage to say a few words about Wendy’s fighting spirit and the good work done by the Cancer Center team.
An auction to raise money for the Cancer Center followed, with guests raising paddles to donate more than $12,000 in support.
