Remember Loved Ones at Tree of Memories

The holiday season can be especially difficult to navigate emotionally if you've lost a loved one, but honoring cherished memories can be beneficial. NorthBay Hospice's annual Tree of Memories is a thoughtfully coordinated ceremony that offers people a chance to pause during this time to remember their friends and family members.

The two-hour ceremony, set for Dec. 8 at 1 p.m., will be held at NorthBay Health's Green Valley Administration Center, 4500 Business Center Drive in Fairfield. It includes music, reading of names, a slide show of digital images of loved ones lost, and light refreshments.

Before the ceremony begins, guests will receive a free ornament to place on the tree in memory of their loved ones.

Every year for several years, special keepsake ornaments have also been made available. This year's version is a dove suspended in a 24K gold-plated oval ring and is available for a minimum donation of $20. Donations help fund NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement programs.

These special ornaments can be ordered in advance. Contact Lou Lopez, NorthBay Health Foundation, at LHLopez@NorthBay.org, or call (707) 646-3132.

If you choose to have photos of loved ones included in the video tribute, please submit one or two digital images to bboyd@northbay.org by Nov. 26, or by calling (707) 646-3517.
