NorthBay Health Recognized by U.S. News & World Report and American College of Cardiology for Excellence in Patient Care

Today, NorthBay Health is proud to announce it has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as High Performing in four areas of care: diabetes, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and cancer care for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. NorthBay Health has also received the Platinum Performance Achievement Award for Chest Pain – MI Registry from the American College of Cardiology (ACC) National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR), recognizing its commitment to excellence in the care of patients experiencing chest pain and heart attack.

The recognitions highlight the dedication of NorthBay’s physicians, nurses and care teams who provide high-quality, compassionate care for patients throughout Solano County and surrounding communities.

“Being recognized by U.S. News & World Report, along with receiving the Platinum Performance Achievement Award from the American College of Cardiology's NCDR, is a reflection of the incredible work happening across NorthBay Health every day,” said Mark Behl, President and CEO of NorthBay Health. “Our teams are deeply committed to caring for our neighbors, and these recognitions reinforce the trust our community places in us. We are proud to provide advanced, high-quality care close to home and will continue investing in the people, programs and technology that help our patients achieve the best possible outcomes.”

The annual Best Hospitals ratings are designed to help patients and their families make informed decisions about where to receive care. A High Performing designation recognizes hospitals that achieve strong outcomes in specific procedures and conditions based on objective measures, including patient outcomes, experience and quality of care.

The Platinum Performance Achievement Award for Chest Pain – MI Registry from the American College of Cardiology's NCDR recognizes NorthBay Health’s commitment to providing high-quality, timely and evidence-based care for patients with chest pain and heart attacks.

“Our patients and families count on us during some of their most important health moments, and we’re honored to be recognized for the care we provide,” said Dr. Seth Kaufman, MD, Chief Clinical Officer at NorthBay Health. “Caring for complex conditions such as stroke, diabetes, COPD and blood cancers as well as providing expert cardiology care requires expertise, teamwork and compassion. I’m incredibly grateful to our physicians, nurses and staff who bring their dedication and skill to every patient, every day.”

The recognition also highlights NorthBay Health’s commitment to delivering high-quality care and earning the trust of the community.

“At the heart of this recognition are the patients and families we have the privilege to serve,” Behl said. “We know that access to excellent healthcare close to home matters, and we remain committed to making sure our community has the care it needs, when and where it needs it.”
