I have always been interested in science and the human body. At a young age I learned the name of every bone in the body! A healthcare career combined science and the human body and was a natural fit for me.
Nursing was my first love, and my interest in caring for the whole person evolved during my time as a RN. I developed a vision of focusing on my patients’ needs, preferences and goals in both the short and long term.
Becoming a nurse practitioner allowed me to care for my patients’ needs while working with them to optimize their lifelong health. As a primary care provider, I get to spend every day getting to know my patients and crafting the best plan to achieve their health goals.
During our visits, my patients are in charge. They know their bodies better than anyone, and I prioritize their questions and concerns. I enjoy developing lasting relationships with my patients and watching their health transform over time.
I will always advocate for my patient within the larger care team and do my best to make healthcare easier to navigate.
