Healthcare Cost Transparency and Affordability

NorthBay Health believes that knowing what healthcare costs can help our patients make informed decisions about their care. To aid in this effort, NorthBay Health publishes our hospital charge information annually and provides a cost estimator tool for common hospital tests and procedures.

The amounts listed in the chargemaster represent the usual and customary charges billed and services described within and are not necessarily an estimate of amounts due.

We would be happy to walk you through the expected costs and how much you may be responsible for paying depending on your insurance coverage and deductible.

For a more detailed estimate of the out-of-pocket costs associated with services please contact your health insurance plan, or call us at (707) 646-3490.

Please note: we do not provide estimates for Emergency Department services.

OSHPD Hospital Chargemasters

A hospital charge description master, also known as a chargemaster or CDM, contains the prices of all services, goods, and procedures for which a separate charge exists. It is used to generate a patient’s bill. As required by the Payers’ Bill of Rights, each hospital is required to submit a copy of its chargemaster, a list of average charges for 25 common outpatient procedures and the estimated percentage change in gross revenue due to price changes each July 1.
