NorthBay Health's Fifth Annual Evidence-Based Practice & Nursing Research Conference attracted health care professionals from across the region to share and learn the latest in delivering evidence-based care.
Elisa Jang, R.N., clinical nurse specialist, transitional research with NorthBay, noted that representatives from 17 organizations turned out for the daylong event. The conference focused on the challenge of delivering evidence-based care and keeping pace with the latest recommendations for excellence in clinical practice.
"Because we are a Magnet facility, we are dedicated and committed to professional development," Elisa said. "There are a lack of opportunities for dissemination of information in the Bay Area, so this is our opportunity to disseminate locally and share the work we are doing."
The theme of the conference was "A Bridge to the Future: Innovation and Technology for Healthcare Improvement," and it focused on how technology and innovation can impact patient care and clinical outcomes. Keynote speaker was Dr. Nicholas Roberts-Huntley, who works with leading technologists in the Bay Area to improve both staff and patient experience.
