A special Tree of Memories celebration for families and friends missing lost loved ones will be presented via Zoom this year, according to Jeanne Dennis, executive director of NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement.

“This will be the second year that we’ve offered a virtual event, out of an abundance of caution,” explained Dennis. “We wish we could share this very touching ceremony in person, but the pandemic had other ideas. And now that we’ve accomplished one virtual ceremony, we’re confident this year’s will also be very meaningful.”

The event will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 on Zoom.

Participants must sign up in advance by RSVPing to Brenda Boyd at (707) 646-3517 or emailing bboyd@NorthBay.org.

The event will feature music, the photo slideshow and a listing of names.

Participants may send one or two photos of their loved ones by Nov. 20 to be included in a special slideshow. Send email to Bereavement@NorthBay.org or call (707) 646-3517 for more information.

Guests who RSVP by Nov. 29 may submit the names of their loved ones, which will be displayed on a virtual ceremonial ornament during the presentation. Keepsake ornaments are also available for a $20 donation.

The event will recognize Pearl Harbor Day and salute veterans who gave their lives.

The online event will be recorded and posted later our tree of memories page.
