Glorious Day for Golfing with the Guild

With blue skies, warm sunshine and a recurring breeze, the weather was perfect for the 36th annual NorthBay Guild Golf Classic at Eagle Vines Golf course in American Canyon.

Funds raised from this year’s event will go toward paying for a daVinci Surgical System, according to Jane Hilliard, director of Volunteer Services. The robotic system is designed to facilitate complex surgeries using a minimally invasive approach controlled by a surgeon from a console.

“We’re very grateful for the support that helps us continue to make a difference for our patients and our community,” said Jane.

Friendly competitions included a closest to the hole game, longest drives for men and women, and a putting contest. Winners for the day were:

Closest to the Hole: On No. 5: Greg Duncan; On No. 2: Carl Hakean; On No. 14: Henry Trudel; and on Nov. 16: Chase Johnson.

Longest Drive, Women: Therese Rappanzini; Men: Seamus Porter.

Mixed Division Results: First Place: Kathy and Greg Salling, Craig and Francie Bryan; Second Place: Ty, Taylor and Zach Quilling and Chris Verchoyla; and Third Place: Therese Rappazini, Tim Brown, Diane Urgano and Eddie Cebreros.

Men’s Division Results: First Place: Jim Strong, Ron Some, Jim Anderson and Mike Venturi; Second Place: Paul Page, Kurt Zimmerman, Bruce Embree and Steve Saffold; Third Place: Brett Johnson, Harry Ahlstrom and Bill Seiden.

Putting Contest: First Place: Michelle Mahan; Second Place: Bill Seiden; Third Place: Jeff Cinciarelli; Fourth Place: Bill Davini; Fifth Place, Kurt Zimmerman.

Dude, Where’s My Par: Patrick Papola, Don Dennis and Mike Woods, recorded the high score of the day with an 83.
