NorthBay Health Gala: A Night of Elegance and Community Support

NorthBay Health is the ONLY locally-operated health care system in Solano County, and we’re also the oldest: 64 and going strong.

Donors and volunteers were instrumental in NorthBay’s beginnings. In 1956, the community felt Solano County needed its own full-service hospital. The community began fundraising efforts to raise $450,000 for a new hospital. The funds were raised and Intercommunity Hospital opened in 1960. In the years that followed, that hospital became NorthBay Health Medical Center in Fairfield. A second hospital in Vacaville — NorthBay Health VacaValley Hospital — opened in 1987.

Today, NorthBay Health is a strong local health system, with two hospitals and over 25 medical offices for primary care and specialty care around the county. Over the next six years, we plan to invest over $250 million to expand NorthBay’s presence and bring more convenience, high-quality care, and economic vitality to the neighborhoods we live in and serve. With this commitment, comes a greater need for community partnerships and investment through philanthropy.

Gala proceeds will go towards NorthBay’s continued commitment to bring access to quality care to all those who call Solano County home, including core services like Primary Care, Cancer Care, Neuroscience and Spine, Heart and Vascular, and Orthopedics.
