Nancy McAfee, MD
I’m a natural born caregiver and I’ve wanted to be a doctor since I was a young child. My training in both pediatrics and internal medicine gives me the expertise to care for entire families. I especially enjoy adolescents at that age where they are bridging childhood and adulthood. For the past two years I’ve worked full-time caring for children and adults with autism and developmental delays.
I believe patients should be active participants in their health care. Communication is the most important tool we have and I take the time to understand my patients and to make sure they understand me. With two young children of my own I’ve learned to pay attention to a mother’s intuition and I have a great respect for grandmother’s intuition too.
