Alfredo Ovalle, MD
Becoming a doctor was a reflection of my desire to serve my community. As a family practitioner, I care for the entire family, from babies to grandparents. I am capable of performing various office procedures to assist with my duties. I’m looking forward to developing long term relationships with the families I care for.
I have a special interest in managing chronic diseases, such as diabetes. I enjoy women’s health, and love playing with children and encouraging them to read and be safe while at the same time making sure they are up-to-date with their vaccines.
I believe education is the cornerstone of maintaining good health. I want my patients to understand what’s normal and healthy for them. That makes it much easier for the patient to recognize a problem that needs medical attention. I welcome questions from my patients; I even encourage them to bring a short list of questions or concerns to their appointments.
I grew up in California and Guatemala. My education began in Mexico and Chicago. After living and strengthening my occupation with the Cook County Health and Hospital System for many years, I’m happy to be back in California. I enjoy sports and have had the satisfaction of completing, with my wife, the Windy City’s Marathon on several occasions. In addition to English, I’m fluent in Spanish.
