Milestones Reached at Welcome Pavilion

June 13, 2016

The exterior glass walls of the Welcome Pavilion at NorthBay Medical Center are taking shape. This week, installation of the interior sheetrock begins, while the rough-in of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical features is completed.

Upgrades to the existing hospital wall adjacent to the pavilion are ongoing. Between Wednesday, June 15, and Friday, June 17, DPR Construction will be working on the exterior wall on the west side of the main lobby. A temporary wall across the main lobby will be erected every morning and removed each evening during this time.

Construction Taking Place on Annex Roof to Complete IT Upgrades

Upgrades to the IT room in the Annex will be complete once a new conduit across the Annex roof is installed.

Work on the roof by DPR Construction begins Wednesday, June 15, and will last five days. During this time, you will see workers on the roof and in the IT room inside the Annex.

USE CAUTION:

  • Do not walk through or drive through construction gates. It is unsafe for anyone but construction personnel to be within the jobsite boundaries.
  • Be aware of your surroundings, including trucks, equipment and added traffic coming and going. Caution your patients and visitors to be alert and aware.
  • Don't cross a barrier even if it is only yellow caution tape. It's barricaded because it's not safe.
  • If you encounter a construction vehicle outside of the barriers, make sure you make eye contact with the driver before entering the vehicle's path of travel.
